CF Moto: MT800 - Adventure Bike

Early details about the upcoming CFMOTO MT800 have been revealed, allowing us a glimpse into the new adventure tourer. Using the engine from KTM’s previously used 790 Adventure models (Now 890cc machines), type-approval documents confirm the MT800 makes 95 hp. With the perception that Chinese bikes are cheap and unreliable, the MT800 aims to debunk this, after all CFMOTO in fact manufacturers many KTM engines sold world wide.

Designed to be adventure specific, the MT800 offers a variant on either spoked or cast wheels. The engine type would give it enough grunt to peak at a top speed of 190km/h. (Yet stay tuned for official specs). Gaining a little more weight than its KTM brother, the MT800 comes in at 230kgs.

Sporting a completely new frame and fuel tank placement, it will be interesting to see if these changes will help improve the durability and handling of the bike. The seat looks to be a definite upgrade, helping riders battle longer journeys in the saddle.
